Attachment Disorder

My husband informed me that our dealer just put the car (our 2006 Toyota RAV4) we traded in recently up onto their website (we traded her in for a 2007 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab SR5 LB). So, this gave me the perfect opportunity to visit her.

I felt a tug at my heart seeing my baby being flashed up on my screen. The photos aren't too flattering...and, the description they gave for her didn't truly match who she is and what she is about. The dealer didn't share with the world the love and care I gave her each time I drove. They didn't share that she has some extra perks that other RAV4s don't have (how many have that beautiful steel tip on their exhaust pipe, or a tonneau cover AND a storage net?). They didn't share how my baby can play MP3s through her CD Player, or that she has an MP3 jack for those iPod users. And...the biggest shock of all? They gave the wrong color?! This is a Toyota dealer...they should definitely know her color is Savannah Metallic...not boring, old Sand.

But, alas...I have a new baby now. She is a BIG baby...but, she is going to be loved and taken care of just as much as my RAV4. Sure....my new baby doesn't play MP3s or have that steel tip...but, she soon will be sporting new nerf bars so I can get in w/o breaking my hip.

I have many fond memories of my baby...but, I must move on and make new memories with our new Baby Taco.
