Mr. Potato Head

Do you remember Mr. Potato Head? Well, I found out today that many of my students heard of him, but never played with him! I had one student that never even heard of him! *gasp!*

Today, I introduced my students to layers, color, and stacking order in Adobe Illustrator. To help them get the hang of layers, their assignment entailed them building a "Junior Potato Head." Simple. The potato on one layer, and each of his elements and accessories on their own layers as well. They then are able to toggle the layers on and off to put the items on the potato! We had a blast with this!...and, I'm anxious to see their final results (I think I'm going to hang them in the hallway for all to see! LOL!).

Anyway...here is one of the looks I gave my potato! Doesn't he look like fun?!

Here is a photo of my other potato head...er...actually, that's my little girl acting silly in her new Hot Topic dress she got from her friend. Isn't she beautiful? Love my baby!!
