My Top Ten Most Annoying Sounds

For some reason...certain sounds drive me crazy!! Not only because I get startled easily...but, because some of these noises literally hurt my teeth! So, I thought I would share my top ten most annoying sounds with you:

1. Cars with their bass so low, that it makes me nauseous. Nothing like ruining a nice and relaxing drive with some punk blasting the bass on his stereo in his boom car!
2. Knuckle Cracking. Can I just ask, why? Why?! WHY?!! It is bad enough I creak and crackle...but, I do it involuntarily. At least most of these "knuckle"heads have a choice.
3. Chomp. Crack. Chomp. The sounds of somebody chomping and cracking their gum. Chew it, don't crack it!
4. Bagpipes...especially hearing them being played through somebody else's headphones. I'll probably be sleeping tonight alone after my husband reads this; but, my husband gave up walking on the treadmill because I commented ONE time I could hear the teeth splitting bagpipe music he was playing while walking on the treadmill!
5. A baby crying in Wal*Mart. Okay...it is not so much that the baby's crying is annoying...it is the fact that the mom, dad or person in charge of the little tike continues shopping while this poor little child is miserable and screaming bloody murder! Why not pick the little guy up and calm him down?
6. The garbage truck. Not only the squeaky brakes that always accompany it...but, the grinding of the trash is so loud, I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin!
7. Dogs barking. Why does every neighbor have a dog and not walk them or play with them? No wonder they bark incessantly. Now we have new dogs behind us...and, they always sound like they are mauling an innocent bystander.
8. Screeching on a chalkboard. I write on a chalkboard every day...and, there is always that one piece of chalk that just doesn't slide easily over the surface! YOUCH!! Talk about hurting my teeth!
9. In our area, we get a lot of bad storms during the spring. Because of this...the annoying BEEPING sound (chosen for lack of a better word) the weatherman chooses will soon be interrupting every television show. Of course, they always play that annoying sound at a time in the show that is about to reveal something, or hint at an important point about the plot.
10. Leaf blowers. Talk about annoying! There needs to be a law on how high of a pitch leaf blowers are allowed to be! Even the neighborhood dogs get annoyed by THAT annoying sound.
