Our Little Nipper

Your pet is a part of your family...and our kitty, Penny...is one precious member of ours. This week Penny had to undergo emergency surgery for an abscess she got on her ear. It has been a crazy week around here because of this! Worry, fatigue and loneliness are just some of the things I am experiencing this week as I go through this journey with Penny.

I thought I would share some photos of my poor, little baby. Warning...some of the photos are graphic!

Here is a photo of Penny when we brought her home following her surgery! You can barely see it, but she has a tube on the bottom of her ear.

Here Penny is today...healing nicely

Here Penny is, finally getting some rest. For the last two days this has been her favorite spot.

One thing we did notice is our television reception has started coming in a bit better...and, Penny gives me this look as though she can now hear in stereo. The neat thing is...Doug and I both gave her new little nicknames. He calls her Nipper...and, I call her Radar.
